The St Lawrence County Historical Association is proud to present the sixth tour of its new series, the Historic North Country Village Talk and Walks! This tour will take place in Heuvelton on Saturday, September 29, and be led by town historian Linda Johnson Wood. The audience will meet at Pickens Hall, 83 North State Street, at 2 pm, for a talk on the town’s history. Following this, Ms Wood will lead the group on a walking tour of Heuvelton. The program will run from 2 pm to approximately 3:30, and is free and open to the public. No advance registration is required. Please note that much of the event will take place outside, so you should come prepared for the weather. The St Lawrence County Historical Association at the Silas Wright House is open Tuesday through Thursday noon to 4 pm, Friday noon to 6 pm and Saturday 10 am to 4 pm. Admission to the museum is free; admission to the archives is free for members and children, $2.50 for college students, and $5 for the general public.The St Lawrence County Historical Association is located at 3 East Main Street, Canton. Parking is available in the back of the SLCHA, next to the museum's main entrance.
